A perfect buzz, some delicious snacks and a great scary movie: this is the stuff my little stoner dreams are made of. Since it’s Halloween it seems only fitting that I should provide some spooktacular movie suggestions for your pleasure. The Boogeyman
If you’re looking to be creeper out this is a great choice. If you’re looking to be unsettled or renew your fear of the dark this is the movie for you. Also if you want to become very leary of slightly ajar closets, this move is for you. Sadoe and her little sister are struggling with the recent loss of their mother. The Conference
I’m often not keen on dubbed movies, but The Conference won me over. After a short time you acclimatize to the dubbing and you can just focus on the ridiculousness of this movie. The Conference is enjoyable almost in spite of itself and truly benefits from not taking itself too seriously. Most of the characters are unlikable to a point that is farcical and the female lead is one of the most irritating fictional characters I’ve ever watched. I know I’m not selling it! But somehow it was still an extremely creative movie with interesting death scenes and some pretty endearing supporting characters. My suggestion is get quite high and enjoy!

Totally Killer
This is probably one of the funnest movies I have seen in quite a log time. The genre mix of this movie really says it all, Totally Killer is a time travel, slasher horror comedy. It’s sort of like if Happy Death Day, Back to the Future and Scream had a beautiful movie live child. Kiernan Shipka is endearing as always and her perspective on the eighties is hilarious at times. The quirky supporting past and the nostalgic eighties scenery makes for an incredibly fun movie that I think almost anyone can enjoy. My top recommendation this Halloween season.

The Curse of Bridge Hollow
I am very much a grown woman but I still live a good, family friendly Halloween movie. In my opinion this 2022 release should be considered an instant Halloween classic. The story centre’s around the Gordon Family played by Priah Ferguson (Stranger Things), Marlin Wayans and Kelly Rowland! The Gordon’s have just moved to Bridge Hollow and they quickly learn that Halloween is a BIG deal in this quaint little town. Before long all manner of spooky creatures is running amok throughout the town and the Gordon’s must find a way to save the town (and make it through the night). This super fun and sometimes spooky movie also features Laura Lapkus as the town’s quirky mayor. If you enjoyed Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween you will love this The Curse if Bridge Hollow.
